Hi Mom and Dad! (In baby’s voice)
Did you know that my brain is like a sponge? Not the squishy yellow kind you use in the kitchen, but a super-smart sponge! It soaks up EVERYTHING around me—sounds, sights, words, and even feelings. Dr. Montessori called it the “absorbent mind.” Cool, huh?
From the moment I was born, I started learning without even trying. When you talk to me or show me things, I watch and listen, and my brain gets busy making sense of it all. It’s like I have superpowers, but only for a short time!

Why This Time is Special
Between birth and around six years old, my absorbent mind is in full action. It’s like magic—it doesn’t just happen later in life. During this time, I’m learning languages, building relationships, and figuring out how the world works. Every smile you give, every word you say—it all becomes a part of me.
So, when I babble, giggle, or stare at something for a long time, I’m not just being cute (though I am!). I’m learning in ways that will shape who I am forever.

How You Can Help Me
- Talk to me: Your words are my treasure. Describe what you’re doing or tell me stories—it’s like music to my ears.
- Show me the world: Take me to parks, let me see trees, flowers, or even the washing machine spinning—everything is exciting!
- Be patient: Learning takes time, and I might repeat things over and over. That’s my way of getting better.

Thanks for being my biggest helpers on this amazing journey!
