When you see me playing, I’m not just having fun—I’m working on building myself! Between birth and six years old, Dr. Montessori believed that children find joy in the work of growing. This is one of the most exciting ways I learn and develop every day.
Why My Work Brings Me Joy (0–6 Years)
- From 0 to 3 years, I explore my world through touch, sound, and movement—it’s my first “work.”
- From 3 to 6 years, I start engaging in purposeful tasks, like stacking blocks or helping set the table.
- Unlike adults, I don’t see work as a chore—I see it as my way of becoming me!
How You Can Help Me
- Birth to 3 Years: Provide me with safe, colorful, and textured objects to explore with my senses.
- 3 to 6 Years: Give me real-life tasks, like sweeping or watering plants—I love being part of the family!
